As a luxury four-star boutique hotel, the Imperial has a rich tradition in hosting gala dinners.
The “Grand Soiree and Conversazione British Association” dinner took place in our halls in 1843. To this day, the letters of the night are still hanging in pride of place in the hotel.
We have now combined that prestigious heritage with modern facilities to provide a luxurious haven in the heart of Cork City. The hotel's grand setting, exquisite cuisine and our dedicated, professional events team will ensure your event will be the talk of the town for many years to come.
Nearly 200 years later, our extensively refurbished main ballroom is still providing gala dining for up to 180 guests. This exquisite event room is lit by crystal chandeliers and filled with rich fabrics and classic table settings. Luxury chair covers are provided, and an elegant floral candelabra rests on each table.
If you are hosting a more intimate event, you can choose the elegant dining area of our Duchesse Suite. This allows your guests to enjoy the warmth of the marble fireplace in the open plan sitting area, before heading into the dining area for a delicious meal. Either venue can be staged to fit your requirements.
Our Head Chef uses only the highest quality ingredients, sourced locally to ensure that each dish is a true gastronomic masterpiece and reflects the elegance and grandeur of your event.
Menu options can be discussed with our team, and we would be happy to cater to any dietary requirements. As one of the premier private party venues Cork has to offer our chefs are skilled in preparing gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dishes for your guests. A full list of allergens can also be provided upon request.
If your celebrations continue all night, a bar extension can be provided upon request and there is also the option of a finger food buffet.
If you wish, you can arrange live entertainment for your event. We would be delighted to offer our advice and recommendations and can arrange the layout of the function room to your exact requirements.
