"Maybe Christmas (he thought) doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more" - The Grinch

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known by his pen name Dr. Seuss, was a writer and cartoonist who published over 60 books. He published his first children's book, And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, under the name of Dr.Seuss in 1937.

Dr. Seuss was the inspiration for his own character, as his wife's health problems and his dismay with the commercialization of Christmas made him feel "very Grinchish" as he looked in the mirror one year on December 26. How the grinch stole Christmas was written in 5 weeks Dr. Seuss’s fastest and easiest book he had written.
