Promote Healthy Lifestyles & Wellbeing
Our social mission requires us to practice our business in innovative ways to make the work environment and the world a better place.
To promote mental health awareness in the workplace, as well as learning about and sharing ways to create positivity, we are implementing a Wellbeing Committee who are looking after the mental health and happiness at work for our team.

The Irish Hotel Federation provides our team with a Wellbeing Support Programme in association with Laya Healthcare and Spectrum Life. This offers all members access to a range of online and over the phone services to help people overcome life’s physical, mental, financial, and personal challenges.
Keeping the workforce fit while reducing overall carbon footprint by promoting the Cycle to Work Scheme. Organising monthly challenges to stay fit together.
For example, in one of our 2021 challenges our team virtually walked, swam, ran, and cycled from our hotel in Cork city centre all the way to Malin Head in Co. Donegal, a total of 504km!!
Our Imperial Family had three teams who took part in the Cork City Marathon this year.
Non-smoking hotel including e-cigarettes. Providing information and support to those who wish to quit.
Allowing staff to attend mindfulness events that are held in the hotel or online.

Our own Niamh & Martha from the Escape Spa treated our Imperial Family to a stress relief workshop which included breathing exercises, chakra balancing techniques, Indian head massage & reflexology
We invited Ray Goggins in to speak with our Imperial Family, he gave valuable insights on teamwork, mindset, high performance, resilience and being effective rather than purely focusing on success.
