Originally built in 1813 The Imperial Hotel is steeped in more than 200 years of history and therefore exudes authentic regency era elegance. With a longstanding tradition of hosting historical figures, famous authors and even royal guests this whimsical new theme is more than fitting! The Season’s Diamond package will be expressed through a new bespoke afternoon tea handcrafted by the hotel's talented pastry chefs, with beauty boosting spa treatments to ensure you have a ‘pleasing countenance’ and an overnight stay for two in one of their well appointed rooms making it appealing enough to entice even the most ‘rakish of suitors’.
Society gossip is already hot under the collar in anticipation of the newest signature afternoon tea to be launched on the Cork City scene. The ‘Seasons Diamond’ afternoon tea features sweet delights named after favourite characters and period elements from the Bridgerton series including: ‘Queens Diamond’ a champagne Jelly, vanilla mascarpone mousse, strawberry compote, pink chiffon sponge, white chocolate case, ‘Whistledowns Tea’ a Yuzu mousse, citrus cream and matcha sponge with a chocolate coin, ‘Danburys Dream’ a chocolate sablé biscuit, kirsch whipped ganache, black cherry jelly, chocolate crunch and chocolate sponge, ‘The Beaux and the Bees’ Lemon curd set on a linzer cookie and a ‘Regency royal scone’ with golden sultanas. Savoury delights and Sandwiches including pulled-chicken with golden raisins and tarragon on choux pastry, a Reuben with wild rocket, Ballymaloe relish, Pico de Gallo and original gubbeen cheese, rounding off the savoury tier will be a market smoked salmon mousse garnished with black caviar, fresh dill and classic cucumber sandwich with mint and cream cheese. All in all it promises to be a mouth watering experience showcasing locally sourced ingredients expertly prepared and a must do experience for any avid Bridgerton fan!
