Goal 10. Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

The Imperial Hotel team has started using Ecosia - the search engine that plants trees which is a search engine based in Berlin, Germany, that donates 80% or more of its profits to non-profit organizations that focus on reforestation.

We are currently replacing our glass bottled water in our bedrooms with Tetrapak water. Tetra Pak water packages are mainly made from renewable resources that are responsibly sourced and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, reducing overall impact on the environment

We use suppliers like Plant It who give back to the environment by partnering with Trees on the land to dedicate a portion of their sales from every Plant-It product to tree-planting initiatives in Ireland & the UK.

We are committed to operate the company in a way that actively recognizes the central role that business plays in society by initiating innovative ways to improve the quality of life locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Imperial Hotel has a long history of commitment to social justice, including equality. This commitment is grounded in our Company’s core values, which include a deep respect for people inside and outside our Company and an unshakable belief that all people deserve full and equal civil rights. We will continue to work with relevant non-profit (LGBTI+) partners to build public support, add our voice and promote the expansion of marriage equality and basic human rights.

Our policies are to conduct all our business in an honest and ethical manner, and to comply with all applicable legislation. We strive to ensure that neither modern slavery nor human trafficking supports our supply chain or our businesses; this objective is implicit in our policies and procedures. We aim for a zero-tolerance approach to violations of anti-slavery and human trafficking laws.

Promoting business practices that respect the Earth and the Environment. We have set realistic statistical targets to achieve in 2022 based on current data.  We will continue to monitor our Energy, Waste and Water consumption closely, continue to work closely with Green Hospitality and Fifty Shades Greener whilst also continuing to invest in projects that will help us reach overall Carbon neutrality within the hotel.
